Now I’m old enough to have lived through the recession back in 2008. It was a tough one for many folks. My family didn’t get affected by the recession, partly by planning, saving, but mostly by diversifying our income. And I’m doing the same thing this time.

In this episode, learn different ways you can diversify your income and use your evergreen sales funnel to work for you 24x7 to sell these offers even while you're doing client work or on weekends.

In episode 120 on The Course Creator’s MBA Podcast, I want to talk with you about how you can use your Evergreen sales funnel to recession proof your business.

Now, I don't pay a ton of attention to the chatter in the online world generally. I just keep my head down. I listen to my audience, and I make sure that I'm serving them. But there's been so much talk about a recession lately, and depending on who you talk to, we're either currently in a recession or we're headed to one soon. And I've even heard of entrepreneurs, you know, ones that I would have.

Said were pretty successful in the past, closing down their online business and pivoting to do something else just because it was getting too hard. Now I'm old enough to have lived through the recession back in 2008, so if any of you were around in that time, either in your business or maybe you were in the workforce, then you know that that was a tough one for many folks.

Out there, my family didn't get affected by that recession, I think partly by our planning, our saving, but mostly by diversifying our income. And I'm doing the same thing this time. So here is what I want for you. As we move into the third quarter, which is only about a week or so away, I want you to really reevaluate.

Your business goals and think about what you need to recession proof your business, mostly by looking for ways to diversify your income.

And I'll give you an example of one of the things that I'm currently working on and that is looking to possibly convert our one click NBA membership content. So in our one click NBA membership, we have template content, kind of pre written content that people can take and implement in, in their businesses. So we're looking to take that content, put it in an app that's integrated with an.

AI rider, just to make it super easy for people to take that content that we're given them and customize it for your business. So more on that later. But I just wanted to give you an example of how I'm looking at future offers in my business that I know that my audience would love and it would also help diversify my income. Now, last week in the scale your business summit, we covered many different ways.

You can use Evergreen cells funnels to drive revenue into your business. As an example, Lee and Scott's presentation, she talked about affiliate marketing and how you can set up an Evergreen sales funnel for an affiliate product that you're promoting. That's a great revenue stream to start with, right, especially if you don't have a digital product in your business yet. Now Shade Johnson's presentation.

She talked about setting up a tripwire, which is essentially a low cost digital product that you put on the back end of your league magnet to gain an immediate customer. That's another example of a revenue stream that you can add in your business in an Evergreen sales funnel and also in the live workshops. I'll walk you through how you could have upsells and down sales and cross sales in your.

Evergreen sells funnel in addition to promoting your signature product or service. All of these are great ways to diversify your income in recession proof your business. Now if you've been around me for any length of time you know that I believe that having an Evergreen sales funnel is a staple for your business.

All online business owners who sell coaching services, digital products, whether it's online course or membership, you need to have an Evergreen sales funnel running 24 by 7 in your business. So it'll be there when you're on vacation. I'll be there on the weekends bringing in leads for you. It'll be there when you're doing client work. So it's just another revenue stream coming.

Into your business now having an Evergreen sales funnel doesn't mean that you're not going to have other income strains in your businesses. You can still have services. You can still do one-on-one work like what I'm doing in our digital product accelerator program. You can even do a live launch, which is similar to what we did last week, right in the scale your business summit, you can still do a live launch to sell your online course or membership.

Through a live webinar or a five day challenge, but I want you to have that Evergreen marketing system in your business now. If you do not have an Evergreen sells funnel today, now is the perfect time to invest in setting one up. Even if you don't have a digital product to sell yet. Start with like what we talked about earlier with Leanne Scott's presentation.

Start with an affiliate product or start with simply promoting your services and as you get further along you can have, you can add other offers in that Evergreen sales funnel to help you diversify your income. Now, even if you already have an Evergreen sales funnel set up, I still want you to take the time and evaluate it and see.

What changes need to be made? Do you need to add another offer in your business? Is it bringing in the amount of revenue that you need to sufficiently diversify your income?
