6 Sign Up Worthy Offers to Attract Action Takers (for industry bundles)

You’ve been asked to participate in an industry bundle. Congratulations! This is an excellent opportunity to grow your email list, build your audience and maximize your revenue from the event, even if you’re participating in a free bundle.

Here are 6 sign-up worthy offers to attract action takers so you can maximize your event participation efforts:

A Mini-Course

Mini-courses are great to offer in an industry bundle. They’re huge authority builders and provide your new email subscriber with a great way to learn more about you and your teaching style.

In addition, with a mini-course, you can use this opportunity to walk your new subscriber through your content in a non-salesy way. You can provide upgrade opportunities throughout the course to purchase other products or services you offer. If you have affiliate links, you can insert them throughout your course to maximize your revenue.

An eBook

If you already have an eBook for sale, you can quickly provide a copy to bundle buyers. You can do this by having subscribers sign up for your mailing list and creating a welcome email with the link to your eBook.

Of course, if you already have a shopping cart, you could create a discount code that gives participants 100% off. Just make sure to keep the coupon specific to the event. Otherwise, someone may use that coupon code on other items that aren’t part of the bundle event.

In your ebook, point your new subscriber to additional resources to encourage action. This can include watching a short video or listenting to podcast episodes so they can take the next step.

A Planner or Workbook

Planners and workbooks are popular right now, and they are low-content. That means you don’t need much time or energy to create one.

Many people use the term “planner” and “workbook” interchangeably. They are similar, but the big difference is that a planner teaches users how to do something while a workbook helps participants explore a topic in-depth.

A Collection of Templates or Swipe Files

Another idea that could be helpful is creating a collection of templates or swipe files. Be sure your templates are related to what you offer so the people who claim it will be interested in your other products or services.

For example, if you’re a graphic designer, you could offer a collection of Canva templates. These give your new email subscriber a quick win, and you can upsell them other courses or templates you offer in the future.

A Webinar

If you don’t have a product available, you could create a simple training, no-pitch webinar. You can use a program like PowerPoint, Canva, or even Google Slides to design your presentation and make it look professional.

Then you could create a sales page with information about your webinar and an area to sign up for your training.

An Audio Course

Audio courses are becoming increasingly popular as people learn on the go while walking their dog, commuting in their car, or even working out. An audio course can easily be put together and offer tremendous value. In addition to the audio content, consider offering a workbook so your students can take action on your training.

Some products don’t work great for bundles for various reasons, and here are some examples:

5 Offers to Avoid When Participating in an Industry Bundle

A Quiz

While quizzes can be a great lead magnet, they don’t work great in bundles because you’re not giving your new subscriber anything tangible they can walk away with. Additionally, quizzes are often offered for free on your website and would not be considered a premium gift like what you would include in a bundle.

A Contest

For a bundle, you should not provide a contest event where only one person will win. This is your opportunity to nurture the hundreds or even thousands of new email subscribers, and providing a gift that only one person will benefit from defeats the purpose of why you’re participating in the event.

1:1 Calls With You

In this category, I would place 1:1 calls with you, personalized audits, or even discounts on your services. You will get thousands of new subscribers in many bundles on your email list. You won’t have the time to do 1:1 calls with these new subscribers or personalized audits. Additionally, this is your opportunity to maximize your ROI, and discounting your services is not a good idea.

3-Page PDFs / 1-Page Checklist

In your bundle, you should provide a premium giveaway, something other than what they can get for free on your website. In addition, 3-page PDFs or a simple 1-page checklist do not provide the authority-building content needed to stand out in a sea of contributors. Make sure that your gift makes your new subscriber say, “Wow, I can’t believe I’m getting this. It’s amazing content!”

Pitch Webinar Replays

While it’s ok to have a no-pitch training type webinar as your gift in the bundle, your new email subscribers will not want to sit through an entire webinar replay with a “full-on pitch” of your paid offer. It should go without saying that you should avoid this as your bundled gift.

There you go! You have a list of 6 offer that are perfect for building your authority with your new email subscriber and attracting action takers.
