Today we're talking about best practices for an actionable quiz for your online course lead magnet. Did you know that a quiz is a great lead magnet for an online course? People love taking quizzes, it sparks their curiosity and tells them a little bit about themselves. What I love about quizzes as a marketer is that it allows me to personalize my follow up to their results.

Everyone is at a different stage in their business and that means that their needs are different. This is what we call personalize marketing. Today I want to talk about the four best practices to consider when creating an actionable, personalized quiz to use as a lead magnet Best practice number one is ensure that your quiz topic is related to your online course.

You may say, Destini, I think this is a given, but I cannot tell you how many lead magnets, how many quizzes I see out there, and it's not even related to their online course. It doesn't really allow the course creator the opportunity to take that prospect on that buyer's journey. And that's what is critical here. So let's assume that you're a branding expert. Your online course is focused on helping women create their brand voice toolkit so that they can attract their ideal customer.

Your quiz could answer the question, what is your brand voice style? And then help participants clarify their brand voice style as they go through that quiz. So do you kind of see how that works? This is directly related to your online course and allows you to send them personalized information based on their specific quiz results and best practice number two is to choose a clickable quiz title.

So like a blog title, your quiz title needs to be clickable and create excitement. If your readers don't get intrigued by your quiz topic, then they are not going to click on the button to take it. So my quiz title is, is your online course business ready for Facebook ads? So for any course creator out there who they might be curious to know if they're ready or they want to know if they're ready. It is a perfect quiz title for them.

Best practice number three is to create questions that engage. And here are some few tips on creating your quiz questions. The first is to be short and to the point. Quizzes should have around five to seven questions. You don't want to, go crazy here because any more, that person is going to quit in the middle of taking the quiz.

And I want you to think about it as a consumer perspective. So let's just say you went to a restaurant and they want you to complete a quiz after your visit about your experience. If that survey gets too long, you are going to quit in the middle of it. So I want you to keep it short into the point. Best practice number four is to create results that prompt action. And this is the most important part of your quiz, creating results that prompt action.

So what I like about using a quiz over a workbook or a cheat sheet or another type of lead magnet is that you can personalize the results based on their answers. Using their answers, you can suggest immediate action that they can take or give them immediate satisfaction by providing results immediately after taking that quiz.

So in my quiz, after completion, I send that immediately send them an email with the results and my recommended next steps. For example, if they are ready for Facebook ads, I point them to my free mini workshop series, which is to launch a high converting ad campaign in five short days. And if they're not ready and some people just aren't ready yet, I send them additional resources to help get them started. And there you go. Those are the four best practices for creating an actionable quiz to use as a lead magnet and course creators.
